About us

A band rooted in the town of Dechy

Founded in 1904, the Harmonie La Lyre Républicaine brings together musicians of all ages around one passion: wind band music, from clarinets to drums.

A music school, a marching band and a concert orchestra all at once, it plays for the town's big occasions and represents Dechy well beyond its borders.

  • Concerts and civic ceremonies
  • St Cecilia's Day, the musicians' patronal feast
  • Parades, with the Gayant giants and in neighbouring towns
  • Beginners welcome, instruments available on loan
